Rib knit jersey gives the best result. Alternatively you could also cut the trims out of the same fabric as the top, especially if using a lycra.

Alternatively you can now opt for a classic pattern (in colour!) where all sizes are printed together and you trace the size you need. This option is recommended for more experienced dressmakers who wish to grade between sizes. Choose the last option in the size drop-down menu called "classic pattern".
