Printing off layered PDF patterns

I'd like to introduce an exciting new feature today!

From now on I will create all new sewing patterns as layered pdfs. This means that all the different sizes will all be on their own individual layers, and you can print off just the sizes you choose!

To use this feature, you will need to use Acrobat Reader to open & print your file. Don't worry, it's free and you can download it here.

When you open a downloaded pattern in Acrobat Reader, you'll see a few icons on the left. At the top left you'll find a pages icon, click on it to see page thumbnails and look through them.

At the bottom you'll see the Layers icon, if you click here you'll see all the layers in the document.

And here comes the exciting bit, you can toggle the layers, to show or hide the different sizes!

Never turn off the Master Layer at the bottom though, because it has all the "Fabric Folds", grain arrows and other important bits in!

Once you've got the layers you want to print, click on the Print icon.

And make sure you're not scaling the pattern, by selecting "Actual size" before hitting Print.

Once you have printed off your pattern, you can either cut or fold along the light grey dashed lines and join all the A's, B's etc to assemble your pattern and last but not least, cut out the pieces

Happy sewing!!
